The Federal Supreme Court issued an injunction that prevents the Correios CPMI from having access to the banking, tax, telephone and telematic data (e-mails) of Paulo Roberto Kress Moreira, owner of the company ACF Anchieta, a Correios franchisee. The decision is made by the president of the STF, minister Nelson Jobim. The minister accepted the request for an injunction in the Writ of Mandamus presented by the businessman, as he understood that there was no basis for breaking confidentiality. “In this prior examination, I understand that the authority appointed as coercer did not indicate concrete and precise facts, referring to the petitioner, capable of substantiating the exceptional measure of breach of confidentiality”, stated Jobim. In addition to suspending the decree of breach of confidentiality, the minister noted that the CPMI must preserve the confidentiality of information already obtained. The president of the STF also determined that Anatel, the Federal Revenue Service and the Central Bank be informed of the decision.
